All week long we are busy playing our part — working, building, striving, deciding. We move like individual instruments, each trying to stay on rhythm.
Then Shabbat arrives.
Shabbat is the moment when the orchestra quiets… and remembers Who the Conductor is.
It is the weekly testimony that we are not the source of the music. We are not the creators of the melody. Hashem conducts the symphony of our lives — every note, every pause, every rise and fall.
On Shabbat we stop “producing” and start listening. We release control and return to trust. We step out of the noise of effort and into the harmony of emuna.
The same Hashem who guided the week’s details is guiding the future. Nothing is off-key. Nothing is random. Every note is intentional.
Shabbat Shalom u’Mevorach
“Shabbat is the day I stop trying to control the music and trust the Conductor.”
Candle-Lighting Reflection: As you light the candles, pause for a few seconds. Picture your entire week — the successes, the frustrations, the unfinished tasks. Then quietly say:“Hashem, You are conducting my life. I release control and enter Yinto Your Shabbat tent.”
