Perek 46 in Tehillim is a song of bold trust.
“Elokim lanu machaseh ve’oz” — Hashem is our shelter and strength.
Dovid HaMelech paints a dramatic picture: mountains collapsing into the sea, nations raging, kingdoms tottering. And yet he proclaims, “Al ken lo nira” — therefore we will not fear.
Emuna is not the absence of chaos. It is stability within it.
When the ground feels like it is shifting beneath us — personally or globally — we remember: “Elokim b’kirbah bal timot.” Hashem is within; it will not collapse. His presence is the anchor.
Salvation does not come from strategy or force. “Natan b’kolo tamug aretz” — He raises His voice and the earth melts. One Divine decree shifts reality entirely.
The root of conflict is forgetting Who truly governs. When Hashem’s dominion is recognized, turmoil loses its grip.
Troubles may come and go. Circumstances may change dramatically. But Hashem remains our refuge.
When mountains fall, our emuna stands.
